One week later with Blessing House Children

We were able to return to Blessing House a week later as other Americans toured houses.  The kids had cleaned up and prepared their home so nicely for guests.  To kick off the visit, all of the residents once again sang to us and then each one took an American to their home to show it off.  We had 1 little guy, Kenyanta, who was very shy and did not communicate much on the day he arrived a week earlier.  When we were listening to the kids singing, Amanda and I were looking for our kids.  Kenyanta saw us at the same time we saw him and he just came running during the song to give us a hug.  It was so precious!  Then he ran off to finish singing.  Later we saw him playing soccer with other boys and he looked like he had been there forever.  It was such a blessing to see how he had adjusted so well. We also saw one of our girls singing in the school choir during a special presentation at the school.

The Tree of Life got a new playground this year and our kids wanted to show it to us.  What is so neat is that some of them had never been on a swing or slide before.  Taylor helped them to enjoy a little play time and we were able to get a few real special pictures.
